FineCharacter 2026: characters and art toys at Seoul’s DDP

This event approaches characters through art and design. It suits travellers curious about character expressions, illustration and art toys, and offers an indoor exhibition to add to a Dongdaemun itinerary.

The event runs Friday 27–Sunday 29 November 2026, 10:00–19:00 KST, at DDP Showroom, 1st floor. The address is 281 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. Admission is free; that does not make all products or separate activities free. Check their conditions individually.

Compare how a simple line creates an expression, or how a flat drawing changes when made into a three-dimensional work. Look a little beyond ‘cute’. If meeting a particular artist or buying a limited product is your goal, first check exhibitor and sales announcements. The official site separates general-visitor preregistration from buyer/press registration. Choose general admission for a leisure visit. Preregistered visitors enter with a QR code and are offered priority entry by the organiser. The procedure for arriving without preregistration has not been confirmed.

The actual form requires a name, phone number and email. Its phone example is ‘010-0000-0000’, with no separate country-code selector visible. This alone does not prove overseas numbers are prohibited, but successful registration and QR delivery with such a number remain unverified. Overseas-card acceptance for purchases and English assistance at individual booths also need checking. Free entry does not establish payment or language support.

The official rule allows children aged 14 or under to enter with an accompanying guardian using the guardian’s preregistration QR code. It does not mean every programme is designed for children. Follow on-site instructions about touching exhibits and age conditions for activities.
