Namsan Night Festival: picnics, walks and music on an autumn evening in Seoul

Leave a little more time if a photo stop feels too short. Pick a picnic, a woodland walk or a silent DJ party to suit your trip. This is not a daily festival: use the actual programme dates below.

Campnic takes place at Baekbeom Square on Friday 23, Saturday 24, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, and Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026, 17:00–22:00. Choose a tent or picnic-mat zone. The listed programme includes Namsan Sunset FM, live music and outdoor films. Pay KRW 10,000 per team in advance; a refund is planned after attendance is confirmed.

An official notice dated 14 October says bookings have closed. Cancellation slots appear on Naver Reservation as they become available. On-site applications depend on spare space, so do not count on arriving without a booking. Outside food is allowed, but personal tents, tarps and mats, as well as personal fire and cooking equipment, are restricted. Film subtitle languages have not been confirmed.

The 23–24 October route is 3.8 km, about 1 hour 30 minutes. The 6–7 November route is 4.2 km, about 2 hours according to the organiser’s website. Walks start at Namsan Yejang Park within the 16:00–21:00 operating window. Check in before your booked departure; arrivals after 18:00 are treated as no-shows with no participation or refund.

The advance payment is KRW 5,000 per person, scheduled for refund after attendance confirmation. November’s route includes repeated downhill stairs. Wear shoes with good grip and travel light: there is no luggage storage, and the start and finish differ. Children must be accompanied by a guardian; do not assume every route is easy for children or pushchairs.

A silent DJ programme is scheduled at Namsan Palgakjeong on Saturday 14 November, in two sessions: 17:30–19:00 and 19:30–21:00. Booking opens Monday 2 November at 10:00. Pay KRW 5,000 in advance, with a refund planned after attendance confirmation. Check further notices for age conditions and the detailed programme.

Seoul’s official English announcement welcomes international visitors and requires advance booking through Naver. The organiser’s booking page lists tent-zone and mat-zone Campnic products and the walk. Successful payment and refunds using overseas phone numbers or cards have not been verified. If you lack a Korean phone number or payment method, ask namsannightfestival@gmail.com about your options first. No reservation, payment or live availability was tested. An English website does not guarantee English delivery or film subtitles for every programme.

Consider a meal around Myeongdong or Hoehyeon before Campnic. Walk participants should navigate to the Yejang Park check-in point; Palgak Club is near the summit and needs a different approach. Search for your actual meeting point rather than simply ‘Namsan’. Bring a warm layer and check weather and change notices before leaving. Performances and films may change with weather or operations.
