Bring home a book-shaped memory

A book can carry something of the place you visited. Unlimited Edition 18 — Seoul Art Book Fair 2026 is a stop to consider if independent publishing and graphic design interest you. The organiser announces 250 participating teams from Korea and abroad; that is not an attendance figure.

Check the date and daily hours

The fair takes place on Friday 6–Sunday 8 November 2026 at Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, 1238 Dongil-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. Friday hours are 12:00–19:00; Saturday and Sunday are 10:00–18:00, all KST. The official poster announcement confirms free admission. Books and products are not therefore free. Do not confuse the museum’s regular opening hours with the fair’s hours.

Look at how a book is made before buying

Notice the paper, the order of photographs and text, and how the book feels in your hands. The same city or everyday subject can look different through another editor’s choices. Consider doing a first circuit and remembering the works that catch your eye. Follow each booth’s rules before opening books or taking photos.

How much Korean or booking preparation do you need?

Image-led books can be a starting point even if you do not read Korean fluently. Do not assume every book has English text or every booth provides English assistance. Saving a title or preparing a short question in a translation app may help.

The official poster checked does not specify general-visitor advance reservations or overseas-phone and identification requirements. This does not establish that reservations are unnecessary: check the latest visitor notice before going. Applications for exhibiting authors and publishers are different from visitor bookings. Overseas-card acceptance at each booth and separate programme reservations also need checking. Enquiries: ue.seoulartbookfair@gmail.com.

Make a day of Buk-Seoul Museum of Art

The venue is in Nowon-gu. Consider combining the fair with the museum rather than treating it as a quick detour. The museum plans to operate its exhibition spaces normally during the fair, but check individual exhibition conditions separately.

Seoul’s event directions list Hagye Station exit 1 or Junggye Station exit 3, both on line 7. Choose ‘Buk-Seoul Museum of Art’ in your map app rather than the general name ‘Seoul Museum of Art’.
